Epassi is a Finnish fintech company, founded in 2007 in Helsinki, that provides digital employee benefits. The company is based in the Helsinki/Espoo region and operates in, among others, the Nordic countries, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, the UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, and France.
How does it work?
Employers deposit money into an account for their employees. Epassi acts as a payment service provider between the employer and affiliated shops or service providers, and also manages the HR administration related to these benefits.
Employees use a fully digital app as a kind of digital wallet, instead of paper vouchers or cards. Think of benefits such as sports programmes, meal allowances, commuting, and cultural activities — all bundled into one app.
